Session Windows and Usage Resets

ISMS Copilot tracks usage in sessions. When you hit your plan's limit, your allocation resets automatically — you'll see a countdown in the UI showing when your next reset occurs.

How Session Resets Work

Your usage is tied to your current session. When you reach your limit, the product displays a message:

"You've used all your messages for this session. They'll reset soon — or upgrade for more messages and higher limits."

The UI shows a timer indicating when your reset will happen. You don't need to log out, refresh the page, or take any action — once the timer completes, you'll have a fresh allocation.

The reset timing is specific to your session. Check the countdown shown in the limit message for your exact reset time.

What Happens at Reset

When your session resets:

  • Your credit allocation refreshes automatically

  • You can resume sending messages immediately

  • A new session window begins from that point

The amount of credits you receive depends on your plan:

  • Free: 10 credits per session — for exploring and light usage

  • Plus: 50 credits per session — enough for daily compliance work

  • Standard: 100 credits per session — for multi-framework teams

  • Pro: 200 credits per session — for heavy workloads

If you consistently hit your limit before a reset, upgrading to Plus typically solves the issue. The increased allocation supports dozens of messages per session.

When You Hit Your Limit

If you reach your usage limit, you'll see a message with your reset countdown and an option to upgrade for immediate access with higher limits. You can either wait for the automatic reset or upgrade your plan.

Tracking Your Session

ISMS Copilot notifies you as you approach your limit, showing your reset countdown. Check your usage at any time in Settings → Usage to see remaining capacity.

Very long conversations (20+ messages) consume significantly more credits per message than short ones. Consider starting a new conversation for better efficiency. See Understanding Usage Limits for details.
